Legal Notice

Ownership of the Smart Preservation Platform and the terms on which it is made available.

Copyright

SPP — the Smart Preservation Platform — together with its source code, database design, user interface, visual design, brand artwork and documentation, is the exclusive property of the copyright owner. It is protected as a literary work under the copyright law of the Republic of Kazakhstan and, through the Berne Convention, in every country party to it. That protection exists from the moment the work was created and does not depend on registration or on this notice.

Licensed, not sold

SPP is proprietary software. It is not open source, and access to it grants no rights in it. A customer receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for their own internal business purposes, on the terms of a written agreement, for as long as that agreement is in force. Nothing in that right transfers ownership or entitles anyone to a copy of the software.

What is reserved

Without the prior written permission of the copyright owner, no person may copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise make available any part of SPP; derive or attempt to derive its source code from a running instance; or use its name, brand or artwork to identify any other product. Unauthorised use infringes the owner's rights and may give rise to civil, administrative and criminal liability.

Customer data

Records a customer enters — their tags, job plans, schedules, job cards and documents — remain that customer's own property. They are not covered by this notice and are not claimed by the copyright owner.

Third-party components

SPP incorporates open-source components, each the property of its own authors and used under its own licence. Those licences are reproduced in full in the NOTICE file distributed with the software. They grant no rights in SPP itself.

Permissions and infringement

Requests for permission, licensing enquiries and reports of infringement should be addressed to the copyright owner through the contact page.
